YouTube finally made their move! After years of waiting for an uninterrupted streaming of music comes YouTube Music! Snipped from their Google Play page,
“YouTube Music is a new music app that allows you to easily find what you’re looking for and discover new music. Get playlists and recommendations served to you based on your context, tastes, and what’s trending around you.”
With over 100 million downloads from beta to official release, it’s currently standing at a 3.9 rating. Honestly, I haven’t heard that there’s this app on development and I’ve just read an e-mail introducing this app.
What bothers me most is that what I’ve read from the email is you get a 1 month free trial then Php. 129.00/month ($2.55) if you go premium from there. But if you read the details from Google Play…
“Get one free month of Music Premium to listen ad-free, offline, and with your screen locked, then pay just $9.99 a month. Existing YouTube Red or Google Play Music members and users of either service who have already received a 30 day trial are not eligible. Monthly charges auto-renew for Music Premium membership outside of trial periods.”
Screen-locked playing only on Premium
Another thing that has got me worried is that PLAYING WITH YOUR SCREEN LOCKED is only for Premium! Well, it’s not Spotify anyway. However, their ability to get exclusives are definitely worth something to wait for!
Guess, that’s just about it for now. Would you buy premium from YouTube Music? Why and why not? Drop ’em down on our comment section below!
